Max was our first sucessful foal and was everything we could have hoped for.
In 2010, we co-owned him with Kristina Slobody with the goal of taking him as far as we could at AMHA shows. Max qualified for the World Show at his very first show in May, winning one Grand and one Reserve Grand Champion Junior Stallion award and all three Reserve Champion Amateur Stallion awards, being shown only by a youth and a Level 1 Amateur (Mary). At the A/R Shows in Maine in June, he won his first Supreme and then his next three, all in one weekend.
But shortly after that show he had colic surgery and never fully recovered, succumbing in February 2011, back home at On Target Miniatures.
In his brief life Max taught us so much and showed he could compete with the very best, with help from Kristina and others. He was a very special boy and was much loved and will be sorely missed.
